WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4 – 7 p.m. – Bear Valley Music Festival Broadway Pops. Maestro Carter Nice will conduct the Bear Valley Festival Symphony Orchestra in an evening of Broadway Pops featuring Katie Van Kooten, soprano and David Gagnon, tenor. The pair is returning after last year’s rave reviews. The audience will enjoy selections from Phantom of the Opera, South Pacific, The King and I and other music from the golden era and contemporary Broadway. Tickets range from $25 to $50 and may be purchased by calling (800) 458-1618 or visiting the festival website, www.bearvalleymusic.org. Bear Valley is located off California State Highway 4 on the Ebbetts Pass Corridor just beyond the Calaveras County border.
